WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN BOOKING A SPORTS MASSAGE WITH DOLOR?

We pride ourselves on quality and service, and what your experience to be the best.

On your first visit you will be greeted by the sports therapist. Your will go through a thorough consultation form, a full postural and mobility assessment to help identify any areas of stiffness, weakness or dysfunction. From these results this with allow the therapist to tailor the treatment to your individual needs. The sports therapist will use a range of techniques to get the best results. When the session is finished you will be given aftercare advice to help assist with the treatment.

WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?

For most appointments we will ask you to bring some loose shorts with you. This allows the very top of the thigh to be exposed when working on the upper leg, it also will maintain your comfort through the session. If you know your treatment will not involve lower body work then shorts will not be necessary.

You will always be given privacy to get changed and place yourself face down on the massage table before the treatment begins.

WILL I BENEFIT FROM A SPORTS MASSAGE?

A sport massage can benefit everyone, whether you are an elite athlete, a gym goer or just require support in daily life then I am here to help!

Being sporty is not a necessity, a sports massage can be beneficial if you suffer from postural disfunctions, limited movement, mental conditions and much more.

If you suffer from chronic medical conditions such as high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, sleep disorders and more our treatments could be beneficial. A doctors note is a requirement for all medical conditions to ensure the safety of the client.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A SPORTS MASSAGE?

We recommend having a sports massage every 3-6 weeks to help prevent muscles tightening which correspondingly with help improve performance whilst reducing your risk of injury and muscular fatigue. We do however also work with clients on a weekly or fortnightly basis which is beneficial to their need.
